Amy Winehouse RIP

In memory of Amy Jade Winehouse – a British singer and songwriter known for her powerful contralto vocals and her eclectic mix of various musical genres such as R&B, soul and jazz. Although her debut album Frank was a major success in the UK, Amy’s breakthrough to the general public came with her follow-up album “Back to Black” with six Grammy Award nominations and five wins. Winehouse is the first British singer to win five Grammys including three of the “Big Four”: Best New Artist, Record of the Year and Song of the Year. Winehouse died yesterday at the age of 27 and joins the infamous Forever 27 Club. May she rest in peace!
